Your Treatment Team

Brad E.R. Smith, MD, medical director of eating disorder services, is a full-time psychiatrist who is board-certified in adult psychiatry and forensic psychiatry, specializing in the assessment and treatment of eating disorders and other complex or multiple mental health diagnoses.

Your caring and compassionate team of providers includes board-certified psychiatrists, an internal medicine physician, a clinical psychologist, social workers and counselors, behavioral specialists, registered nurses, registered dietitians, experiential therapists and more, all helping you work towards resilience and recovery.

Our Treatment Approach

Your team at Rogers focuses on helping you or your loved one:

  • achieve nutritional stabilization
  • identify and correct unhelpful thinking and behavior patterns related to eating, body image or exercise
  • effectively address co-occurring conditions
  • build resilience for long-term recovery

Rogers’ eating disorders programs use an intensive CBT model, addressing unhelpful behavior and thinking, with an emphasis in graduated exposure and response prevention (ERP), in addition to medical management.

With ERP, you will work with your entire treatment team to face challenges that may relate to eating, body image, your interaction with food itself and more. Behavioral activation helps those with co-morbid mood disorders re-engage in life while experiential therapy can help you connect and express your thoughts in many ways. We encourage family involvement at all levels of care.
